NOAA Fisheries has published an article reporting on the results of a study which successfully replaced fishmeal and fish oil with Veramaris' algal oil, in diets for aquaculture fish.
The article states: "In a groundbreaking study, researchers have successfully raised a carnivorous fish on a diet free of fishmeal and fish oil without any harmful effects."
For the fish oil substitute in the study, Veramaris' natural marine algal oil, rich in EPA & DHA Omega 3, was used.
